Activities and tours at Sharwimbo River Camp
Located along a traditional elephant migration route between Botswana and Angola, the camp regularly offers sightings of large elephant herds, particularly during the dry season. The traditional village of Lizauli is just a short walk away, providing visitors with an opportunity to experience the local culture. Additional activities include boat cruises and scenic sunset cruises on the Kwando River, where hippos, crocodiles and a wide variety of waterbirds are frequently encountered. With more than 350 recorded bird species, the region is regarded as one of Namibia's premier birdwatching destinations. Game drives to nearby protected areas, including Mudumu National Park, offer opportunities to see elephants, buffalo, antelope and, with a little luck, predators in their natural habitat.
