Haasenhof Guestfarm, also known by the Herero name “Otjombuindja,” is situated about 140 km north of Windhoek between Okahandja and Omaruru along the D2110. The name means “place of the steenboks” and already reflects the farm’s close connection to the original wildlife of the region. Haasenhof is managed by the Haase and Zimny families on a scenically beautiful and game-rich farm, combining traditional Namibian hospitality with personal service. Transfers from Windhoek International Airport or from the capital city can be arranged.

Accommodation at Haasenhof Guestfarm
Guests are accommodated in single, double, or triple rooms, which can be booked either on a full-board basis or with dinner, bed and breakfast. A special feature of staying at Haasenhof is the communal dining at the family table, where mostly homemade dishes and products from the farm itself are served. Breakfast, lunch, afternoon coffee and cake, as well as dinner, are part of the daily offering.
A swimming pool provides relaxation on hot days, while the vast surrounding landscapes create an atmosphere of peace and tranquillity. The climate of the region is characterised by very hot summer months from October to March, while winter months are pleasantly mild during the day and considerably cooler at night.
Activities and tours at Haasenhof Guestfarm
Numerous wild animals roam freely around the farm, including kudu, oryx antelope, steenbok, Damara dik-dik, warthog, baboons, and ostriches. The area is also known for its rich birdlife. Several waterholes on the property allow for excellent wildlife observation and offer ideal opportunities for nature photography. Guests can discover the wildlife either on relaxed walks or during farm drives, which also provide insight into everyday life on a Namibian cattle farm.
