Etosha Mountain Lodge is located within the private Etosha Heights Reserve in the south of Etosha National Park and sits atop a striking dolomite hill, offering sweeping views across approximately 600 skm of wildlife-rich landscape bordering the national park. The Etosha Heights Reserve itself has evolved from a former hunting concession into an important wildlife conservation area. Guests of the lodge are actively introduced to this transformation and gain insights into sustainable conservation efforts and anti-poaching initiatives.

Activities and tours atThe lodge is designed in a classic safari style and is centered around a main thatched lapa area, which serves as a meeting point for the restaurant, bar, lounge, and swimming pool. From here, views extend across open plains and bushland, while the pool provides a refreshing retreat. The nine freestanding chalets are both comfortable and functional, featuring air conditioning, ceiling fans, and en-suite bathrooms with both shower and bathtub. Large windows and private decks allow for uninterrupted wildlife viewing directly from the room. A family unit complements the accommodation, making the lodge suitable for travelers with children.
Activities and tours at Etosha Mountain Lodge
A particular focus is placed on activities within the private concession. Guided game drives in the early morning and late afternoon are part of the program, as are night drives that offer insights into nocturnal wildlife. The region is known for its populations of both black and white rhinos, as well as predators and elephants. In addition, guided bush walks and rhino tracking provide immersive nature experiences that are often not permitted in national parks.
