Hot springs on the edge of the Fish River Canyon

The /Ai-/Ais Hotsprings Spa is located at the south-eastern end of the famous Fish River Canyon in the Namibian part of the /Ai-/Ais Richtersveld Transfrontier Park. About 700 km from Windhoek, surrounded by rugged mountains, vast valleys and the dry riverbed of the Fish River, an impressive desert landscape unfolds here, creating an almost meditative atmosphere.

Accommodation at the /Ai-/Ais Hotsprings Spa is diverse and tailored to different needs. Guests can choose between comfortable double rooms, spacious family chalets and well-equipped campsites. The rooms are modern, air-conditioned and feature en-suite bathrooms. The chalets additionally offer kitchen facilities, making them ideal for families or longer stays. 

A particular highlight is the spacious spa area, built directly around the thermal spring. Indoor and outdoor pools invite guests to unwind, while the warm, sulphur-rich water is known for its soothing effects on muscles and joints. The experience is complemented by a range of wellness treatments, including massages, adding an extra layer of relaxation to any stay.

Activities and tours at /Ai - /Ais Hotsprings Spa

The resort takes its name from the natural hot springs, whose mineral-rich waters have been emerging from the earth for centuries. In the Nama language, “/Ai-/Ais” means “burning hot,” a fitting description of the soothing warmth of the springs. Today, this natural phenomenon is the heart of the resort, attracting visitors in search of relaxation and rejuvenation.

Beyond relaxation, the resort offers a variety of activities for nature lovers and adventure seekers. The surrounding area is ideal for hiking and exploring the natural environment. Especially known is the Fish River Canyon Hiking Trail, one of the most spectacular hiking routes in southern Africa, with its endpoint located nearby. In addition, visitors can join guided nature drives, take in the unique landscape or enjoy birdwatching in this diverse region.
