West Nest Lodge is situated on Farm Klein Begin in eastern Namibia, approximately 168 km from Windhoek, 35 km west of Gobabis and about 8 km from the Trans-Kalahari Highway. Surrounded by the vast open landscapes of the Kalahari, the lodge offers a peaceful retreat and serves equally well as an overnight stop for travellers or as a base for exploring eastern Namibia on tours with Uakii Wilderness Safaris.

Accommodation at West Nest Lodge
The lodge offers a total of 25 accommodation units, ranging from comfortable chalets and traditional thatched rooms to stylish tented chalets and nature-oriented campsites. At the heart of the property is a spacious communal area featuring a restaurant and a fully licensed bar, where guests can enjoy meals and unwind after a day of exploring. A swimming pool provides welcome relief during the warmer months, while families will appreciate the children's playground. The beautifully landscaped Whispering Garden offers a tranquil space to relax within the lodge grounds.
Activities and tours at West Nest Lodge
An authentic nature experience is at the heart of every stay. The surrounding Kalahari savannah provides excellent opportunities to admire spectacular sunsets, observe a rich variety of birdlife and spot native wildlife. Guests looking for outdoor activities can make use of the lodge's golf driving range, mini golf course, volleyball court and marked walking trails, which invite visitors to discover the peaceful surroundings at their own pace and enjoy the tranquillity of the Namibian landscape.
Through its partnership with Uakii Wilderness Safaris, West Nest Lodge also offers access to community- and culture-based excursions. These tours visit San, Ovaherero and Batswana communities, providing authentic insights into their contemporary way of life, traditions and survival skills in the Kalahari. The cultural experiences are complemented by nature-based activities and wildlife viewing.
