Xain Quaz Camp is located about 10 km west of Gobabis directly on the B6 and is a year-round rest camp in the Omaheke Region of eastern Namibia. The property combines the tranquillity of the Kalahari landscape with a convenient location for travellers journeying between Windhoek, Gobabis and Botswana. Spacious grounds with well-kept lawns, shady trees and traditional thatched roofs create a relaxed atmosphere away from the bustle of town life.

Accommodation at Xain Quaz Camp
Guests can choose from comfortable rooms, spacious self-catering chalets, simple huts and campsites. The rooms are clean and functional, each with a private bathroom, and some are suitable for families. The two self-catering chalets feature fully equipped kitchens, bathrooms and barbecue facilities, making them ideal for small groups. Nature lovers can also stay in a rustic hut with electricity or in a permanently erected tent unit. Campers will find several spacious sites as well as ablution facilities with hot water.
At the heart of the camp are the communal areas. A large swimming pool offers welcome relief on hot days, while covered seating areas and the bar provide plenty of opportunities to relax. The facilities are complemented by a restaurant serving meals on request and barbecue areas for enjoyable evenings under the open sky. In addition, venues for smaller events and gatherings are available.
Activities and tours at Xain Quaz Camp
The surroundings of Xain Quaz Camp are characterised by the open thornbush savannah of the Kalahari. Various species of wildlife can be spotted on the property and in the surrounding area, often gathering at the waterholes. Birdwatchers in particular will appreciate the diversity of resident bird species that can be observed throughout the year. The peaceful setting makes the camp an ideal place to enjoy nature, relax by the pool or explore the vast landscapes of the Omaheke Region. A trip to Gobabis is also worthwhile, offering shopping facilities as well as leisure activities such as golf and tennis.
