Lodge / Camping east of Gobabis
Zelda Game & Guestfarm is located in eastern Namibia in the Omaheke Region, approximately 90 km east of Gobabis and about 25 km west of the Buitepos border post to Botswana. The 10,000-hectare farm lies directly on the Trans-Kalahari Highway. Roughly half of the property is dedicated to wildlife conservation, while the remaining land is used for traditional cattle farming. The farm was established in 1946 when former soldiers were granted land after World War II. It was named after Zelda, the daughter of a local magistrate at the time.

Accommodation at Zelda Game and Guestfarm
Zelda offers 16 individually decorated rooms, including twelve double or twin rooms and four family units accommodating up to two adults and two children. Three rooms are wheelchair accessible. All accommodation features en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning, ceiling fans, mosquito nets, tea and coffee making facilities, a safe and a private veranda. Wi-Fi is available in selected areas.
In addition, there are ten well-maintained campsites with electricity, barbecue facilities and modern ablution blocks. The central area of the lodge includes a restaurant serving regional cuisine, a bar, a traditional lapa with comfortable seating areas and a swimming pool set within a lush garden. A small souvenir shop completes the facilities.
Activities and tours at Zelda Game and Guestfarm
A special feature of Zelda is its close connection to the ancient culture of the Nharo San. Families of this indigenous community have lived in the area for centuries and offer guests respectful insights into their traditional way of life. Activities include guided bush walks with experienced trackers, visits to a traditional village and evening dance and cultural performances. Part of the income generated by these activities directly benefits the participating communities.
Nature experiences are another highlight of a stay at Zelda. Guests can join morning, afternoon or night game drives and encounter wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, kudus, impalas, springboks and wildebeest. Walking trails lead through the Kalahari vegetation to waterholes and hides for wildlife and bird watching. Feeding cheetahs and leopards is also among the unique experiences that make a stay at Zelda Game & Guestfarm especially memorable.
