Ghaub Guestfarm is located in the fertile north of Namibia in the so-called Otavi Triangle between Tsumeb, Otavi and Grootfontein, and can be reached via the D3022. The 120 km² property in the rugged Otavi Mountains houses a game-rich nature reserve with extraordinary rock engravings, a limestone cave as well as a farm with cattle and maize fields. The farm is considered a green oasis with lush lawns, mature palm trees and dense vegetation – an unusually verdant landscape for Namibia.

Accommodation at Ghaub Guestfarm
The farm dates back to a station of the Rhenish Missionary Society established in 1895, which served as an agricultural and social center for local communities. After a varied history, the property was carefully restored in the 1990s and opened as a guest farm in 1999. To this day, the historic buildings, a small cemetery and relics from the missionary era shape the authentic atmosphere.
Guests stay in twelve spacious rooms equipped with en-suite bathrooms, a veranda, fan, tea and coffee facilities, and a mini-bar. The offering is complemented by several campsites with private sanitary facilities. Central amenities include a restaurant with terrace, a bar, extensive gardens and a large swimming pool.
Activities and tours at Ghaub Guestfarm
The range of activities combines nature, history and adventure. A highlight is the exploration of the Ghaub Cave, the third-largest cave in Namibia, measuring around 2.5 kilometers in length and featuring impressive stalactite formations. Guided rhino tracking on foot and game drives in the reserve are equally memorable, offering the chance to observe not only rhinos but also giraffes, zebras and various antelope species. In addition, marked hiking trails lead through the mountainous landscape to botanically interesting areas, historical sites and scenic viewpoints. Farm drives, mountain biking and occasional horseback excursions are also available.
