Seidarap Guesthouse is located approximately 4 km northwest of Grootfontein along the C42 and offers a comfortable stopover for travellers heading to Etosha National Park, the Waterberg Plateau, the Kavango and Zambezi regions, or further into northeastern Namibia. This owner-operated guest house welcomes visitors with warm, personal hospitality in a peaceful setting on the outskirts of town. Its beautifully maintained garden is one of the property's defining features.

Accommodation at Seidarap Guesthouse

One of Seidarap's most distinctive features is its spacious garden, which has grown and matured over several generations. Towering palms and fruit trees, including orange, lemon and avocado trees, create a lush green oasis. The name "Seidarap" has a special meaning: spelled backwards, it forms the German word "Paradies" (paradise), a name originally chosen for the property by the current owners' grandfather.

The guesthouse offers ten spacious single and double rooms, some of which are situated on the upper floor and provide pleasant views of the surrounding area. Each room features an en-suite bathroom with shower and toilet, as well as comfortable amenities to ensure a relaxing stay. Families with children are welcome, and suitable accommodation options are available for younger guests.

Guests can enjoy a number of shared facilities, including an inviting terrace and a balcony overlooking the Otavi Mountains, as well as a swimming pool that provides welcome relief on warm days. These relaxing outdoor areas are ideal for unwinding after a long journey or enjoying a refreshing drink in peaceful surroundings. The excellent cuisine is another highlight, with freshly prepared meals and genuine Namibian hospitality contributing to a memorable stay.

Thanks to its convenient location, Seidarap is an excellent base for exploring northern Namibia. Popular nearby attractions include Etosha National Park, Waterberg Plateau Park, the Hoba Meteorite—the largest known meteorite on Earth—and the Old Fort Museum in Grootfontein. The surrounding Otavi Triangle also offers beautiful scenery to discover, while the guest house serves as an ideal overnight stop for travellers continuing towards the Kavango, Zambezi or Ovamboland regions.
