The Kronenhof Lodge is located about 30 km south of Duwisib Castle on an extensive private nature reserve of approximately 21,000 hectares, situated between Sossusvlei and Lüderitz in southern Namibia. Immense geological formations such as the majestic dunes of the Sperrgebiet or the rugged mountain ranges of the Namib-Naukluft give this region an unparalleled sense of beauty and vastness.

Accommodation at Kronenhof Lodge
Kronenhof Lodge places particular emphasis on offering travellers the highest level of comfort in the midst of Namibia’s wilderness. The result is a stylish lodge that combines modern standards with an authentic nature experience. The heart of the property is the main building at the foot of a hill, featuring a restaurant, lounge, bar, and swimming pool – all with sweeping views over the spectacular landscape.
The secluded retreat offers accommodation for every taste and budget. The four en-suite Mountain View Villas are located away from the main lodge and feature a central communal area with a kitchen, living room, barbecue facilities, a pizza oven, and a splash pool. Seven en-suite double rooms and four family units (each consisting of two rooms sharing a bathroom) form part of the main lodge and offer views of the valley and surrounding mountains. In addition, there are five self-catering units with small kitchens and barbecue areas, as well as seven camping sites with either private or shared ablution facilities.
Activities and tours at Kronenhof Lodge
The leisure activities also make Kronenhof Lodge a special destination. Particularly popular are the scenic farm drives, where guests can observe giraffes, zebras, oryx antelopes, and ostriches from open vehicles. A highlight is the sundowner scenic drive, offering sunset views from a panoramic vantage point. Additional activities include hiking trails, mountain biking routes, 4x4 tracks, archery, and clay pigeon shooting – providing a diverse range of experiences for both nature lovers and adventure seekers.
