The Stiltz is situated on the southern edge of Swakopmund at the mouth of the Swakop River and only a few minutes from Swakopmund’s town centre. The wooden bungalows, built on stilts, offer sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean, the dunes of the Namib Desert and the lagoon at the river mouth, which provides a habitat for numerous bird species. The distinctive architecture blends harmoniously into the surroundings: all buildings are connected by elevated wooden walkways, allowing the natural vegetation and sensitive wetlands to remain largely undisturbed.

Accommodation at The Stiltz
The lodge conveys a sense of seclusion, although Swakopmund’s restaurants, shops and attractions are just a few minutes away. Nature lovers especially appreciate the location on the bird-rich lagoon, where flamingos, pelicans and other waterbirds can frequently be observed. The proximity to the ocean and the river mouth also creates an extraordinary setting with impressive sunsets.
The property offers a total of eight individually designed bungalows, including seven twin bungalows and one double bungalow. In addition, there is a family bungalow accommodating up to four guests as well as two spacious villas, each sleeping up to six people. Natural materials such as wood, historic photographs and African artwork characterise the interior of the villas, creating a warm and personal atmosphere. All accommodation units feature an en-suite bathroom, a balcony, tea and coffee-making facilities, a minibar and Wi-Fi. Some bungalows have more limited views and are therefore offered at a lower rate.
The central meeting point is the thatched main bungalow with its breakfast area. A cosy lounge invites guests to relax, while the reception team assists with organising excursions and restaurant reservations.
