Lodge and camping in the Daan Viljoen Game Park close to Windhoek
Located just 25 km east of Windhoek, Daan Viljoen Lodge is an attractive place to spend the first or last stop on a Namibian trip in the Daan Viljoen Nature Reserve. The park is home to around 200 species of birds and a surprising amount of wildlife, which roams around in peace as there are no large predators. This means that visitors can also easily explore the park's two well-marked hiking trails on their own.
Daan Viljoen Lodge offers nineteen luxurious en-suite chalets, including two exclusive family units for up to three people. All chalets are located at the Daan Viljoen Dam and close to the Boma restaurant with fire pit and a view of the large swimming pool. Not far to the reception there are seven comfortable camper pods arranged around a rock under shady camel thorn trees. Each pod has a shower and separate toilet, a small kitchen with sink and hotplate, and an indoor barbecue. Daan Viljoen Lodge is also a good address for conferences or wedding celebrations thanks to its event rooms.
In addition to hiking in the Daan Viljoen Nature Reserve, you can go on game drives in your own vehicle or book a guided game drive.
