Victoria Falls Day Tour

Guided day tour to Victoria Falls from Katima Mulilo

The Victoria Falls are the largest waterfalls in Africa and a breathtaking destination in Zimbabwe. With the activity provider Caprivi Adventures from Katima Mulilo you can get to know this natural wonder on an uncomplicated day tour directly from Namibia.

To get to the fascinating Victoria Falls from Namibia, you have to pass two border crossings on the way there and back: the Ngoma border between Namibia and Botswana and the Kazangula border between Botswana and Zimbabwe. These sometimes lengthy and complicated border crossings with a Namibian rental car are not for everyone.

Caprivi Adventures from Katima Mulilo are very familiar with these formalities and offer day tours from Namibia to the Victoria Falls, where you are guaranteed to get your money's worth in an uncomplicated and well looked after manner. This tour is perfect for those who want to visit the mighty Vic Falls but are afraid of crossing the border themselves.

The legendary Victoria Falls

David Livingstone is considered the first European to discover the rushing waterfalls in Zimbabwe and Zambia and named them Victoria Falls in honor of the British monarch, Queen Victoria. Of course, the waterfalls had long been known to the local population. Today they are again known by their original name 'Mosi-oa-Tunya' ("The Smoke that Thunders").

The Victora Waterfalls are an impressive natural spectacle with a width of around 1700 meters and a height of 108 meters. Depending on the season, between 20,000m³ and 500,000 m³ of water shoot down the falls every minute. When there is a lot of water, the spray can reach up to 400m in height and can be seen from a distance of up to 40km.

In the towns of Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe) and Livingstone (Zambia) adjacent to the waterfalls, there are countless accommodations and opportunities to pass the time with all kinds of activities and adventures. Nevertheless, if you can't stay longer at the Victoria Falls but have a day free in the Zambezi region of Namibia, it's worth taking a day tour with Caprivi Adventures so that you can at least see the Victoria Falls with your own eyes.
