Guided Kalahari Hike

The one-and-a-half-day hike, offered by the Kalahari Red Dunes Lodge, targets the more active, adventurous guest, who would like to concentrate on the tranquil nature of the Kalahari rather than ticking off highlights. Discover giraffes, zebras, wildebeests and other antelopes as well as the smaller inhabitants of the Kalahari.

The well-developed package of the Trans-Kalahari Walking Trail includes support and escort by an English-speaking guide, two nights’ accommodation, all non-alcoholic beverages, snacks and meals as well as the transport of luggage to the Dune Camp. Hikers only have to carry a light day pack with sun protection lotion, camera and binoculars.

The walking trail can be conducted throughout the whole year. During times of excessive heat, guests’ preferences are strongly taken into account, which can result in shorter walks.
