The capital of the Omusati Region
Outapi is the capital of the Omusati Region in Namibia and has about 3,000 inhabitants. The town is situated close to the Angolan border.
During the last years the town has become more and more attractive to tourist. The Ruacana Falls are one of the highlights of the region of Outapi. The falls are about 70 kilometre away from Outapi at the border to Angola. The waterfalls are an impressive spectacle, as the 700 m wide river falls down from a height of 120 metres.
