What to Expect on the Swakopmund Balloon Ride
On the afternoon before your flight, "Hot Air Ballooning Namibia" will confirm the departure location and inform your accommodation.
The hot air balloon ride begins before sunrise, so it’s not for late sleepers. You’ll be picked up at your accommodation around 5:00 AM and taken to the launch site, where you can watch the balloon being set up and inflated. Once airborne, an experienced pilot will gently guide you over the landscape – the flight lasts about one hour, depending on weather conditions.
After landing, you’ll enjoy a champagne breakfast in the middle of the desert – a long-standing tradition that adds a special touch to the experience. It’s the perfect moment to soak in the magic of the morning.
