A city tour through the Namibian capital Windhoek is rarely part of a Namibia vacation. Bwana Tucke-Tucke offers four different city tours of which the classic ‘Windhoek City tour with Katutura’ is especially recommendable. During the three hour tour an experienced guide gives a detailed insight into the - from the German colonial times influenced - history and culture of the Namibian capital. The Reiterdenkmal (horse rider monument), the Alte Feste (Old Fort), the Christuskirche (church) and the oldest building of Windhoek, the old ammunition building, as well as Windhoek’s three castles are being visited.
The highlight of the tour is the visit of the ‘slum’ area Katutura and finally the drive onto a hill at the Goreangab Damm, from where you can enjoy a great view onto Windhoek.
