The building incorporates maritime elements and, with its round windows and curved lines, resembles a ship. This nautical design flows harmoniously throughout the property, giving the lodge its own unique charm. In total, Beach Lodge offers 19 tastefully furnished rooms in various categories. These include comfortable standard rooms, luxurious double rooms, and spacious family accommodation. All rooms are bright and welcoming, equipped with modern amenities such as Wi-Fi, television, a safe, tea and coffee-making facilities, and private bathrooms. Many rooms also feature a balcony or terrace with direct sea views.
Another highlight of the lodge is the in-house restaurant, “The Wreck,” located on the upper level of the building. With its panoramic views over the Atlantic Ocean, it is popular not only with lodge guests. Fresh fish dishes, seafood, and international specialities are served here in a stylish atmosphere. At sunset in particular, a special ambience is created as the light reflects on the ocean and fills the room with warm colours.
Activities and tours at Beach Lodge
Thanks to its location, Beach Lodge is the ideal base for the many activities available in and around Swakopmund. Adventurous guests can take part in desert tours, try sandboarding, or explore the dunes by quad bike. Boat cruises in Walvis Bay, kayaking trips, fishing excursions, and scenic flights over the Namib Desert are also among the popular experiences. Those seeking a more relaxed pace can enjoy long walks along the beach or explore the charming centre of Swakopmund with its cafés, galleries, and historic buildings.
