Waterberg Wilderness Lodge is situated in a long, sheltered valley at the foot of the striking Waterberg Plateau in north-central Namibia. Surrounded by tall trees, a perennial spring and lush vegetation, the lodge forms a green oasis on the edge of the Kalahari. It is part of the Waterberg Wilderness collection, which operates three lodges and two campsites on a private farm with its own wildlife reserve dedicated to the conservation of the region's landscape and wildlife.

Accommodation at Waterberg Wilderness Lodge
Built from the characteristic red sandstone of the Waterberg, the historic lodge offers a warm, rustic farmhouse atmosphere with a total of twelve guest rooms, including nine double rooms and three spacious family rooms. Each room features an en-suite bathroom, a small seating area and a private veranda. Electricity is supplied by solar power, providing sufficient energy for charging electronic devices. A laundry service is available for guests staying two nights or longer.
The heart of the lodge is its restaurant with garden café and bar, where breakfast and a fixed evening menu featuring European and Namibian farmhouse cuisine are served. Vegetarian meals are available on request. Complimentary Wi-Fi with limited bandwidth is provided in the restaurant. The spacious garden, shaded by mature trees, includes a pavilion and a large spring-fed swimming pool surrounded by towering bamboo, offering a refreshing retreat on warm days.
Activities and tours at Waterberg Wilderness Lodge
Game drives and guided rhino tracking excursions provide opportunities to encounter both black and white rhinos, as well as giraffes, kudu, oryx, eland, blue wildebeest and a variety of other wildlife. Guests can also explore several marked hiking trails of varying lengths, including the History Path, which commemorates the historic events that took place at Waterberg in the early 20th century. For a special experience, exclusive guided sundowner walks to the plateau offer spectacular panoramic views across the Kalahari plains.
