The Caprivi River Lodge is idyllically situated on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River near Katima Mulilo in the far northeastern corner of Namibia. Nestled beneath tall shade-giving trees and surrounded by well-kept lawns, the lodge lies in the heart of the Kavango-Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area – the largest transfrontier conservation area in Africa – and offers an ideal base for exploring Namibia as well as the neighbouring countries of Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe..

Accommodation at Caprivi River Lodge
The heart of the lodge is the open-plan main building with lounge, bar and restaurant area, from where wooden decks and walkways offer magnificent views over the river. In the evening, the traditional fire pit invites guests to unwind in a relaxed atmosphere. The lodge features ten thatched chalets, all facing the river and combining privacy with an immersive natural setting. Accommodation options include queen rooms, twin rooms and a family chalet. All units are comfortably equipped with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a refrigerator, tea and coffee facilities, and satellite television. Large windows and private verandas provide impressive views of the Zambezi and the abundant birdlife of the surrounding area.
Activities and tours at Caprivi River Lodge
Boat cruises on the Zambezi, especially at sunset, offer unforgettable experiences amid breathtaking river scenery. Fishing enthusiasts will find excellent opportunities to catch the famous tiger fish and other freshwater species under expert guidance. Birdwatchers are equally rewarded, as more than 400 bird species make the Zambezi region a paradise for ornithologists. In addition, the lodge organises excursions to some of southern Africa’s most spectacular wildlife destinations. Day trips to Chobe National Park with its large elephant herds, visits to Victoria Falls, as well as tours to Bwabwata National Park, Mudumu National Park and Nkasa Rupara National Park are among the most popular activities.
