Zovu Elephant Lodge
Lodge at the Chobe
Zovu Elephant Lodge is located in the far north-east of Namibia, in the Zambezi Region, directly on the banks of the Chobe River in the small village of Kasika. From here, guests enjoy sweeping views across to Botswana's Chobe National Park, while the famous meeting point of Namibia, Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe lies only a short distance away. This exceptional setting makes the lodge an ideal base for safaris and excursions in one of Southern Africa's most wildlife-rich regions.

Accommodation at Zovu Elephant Lodge
This family-run lodge offers a total of ten guest rooms distributed across five freestanding chalets. Each chalet features one double room and one twin room as well as a small seating area. Amenities include an en-suite bathroom, mosquito nets, ceiling fans and a safe. The chalets are positioned to allow guests to admire the river scenery and observe wildlife directly from their rooms or private terraces.
The restaurant and bar are situated on an elevated deck offering panoramic views of the Chobe River and its opposite banks. Elephants, buffalo and a variety of other wildlife can frequently be seen on Sedudu Island or along the river's edge. A spacious terrace invites guests to relax and soak up the scenery, while the swimming pool behind the chalets provides welcome refreshment on warm days. Well-maintained gardens create additional quiet spots with uninterrupted views of the surrounding nature.
Activities and tours at Zovu Elephant Lodge
The lodge lies within a region that forms part of the Kavango-Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area, a cross-border conservation initiative linking several national parks and wildlife reserves across Southern Africa. Its aim is to combine nature conservation and wildlife protection with sustainable tourism. Large herds of elephants regularly visit the river to drink, bathe and play, making remarkable sightings possible even from within the lodge grounds. Activities include boat cruises on the Chobe River, guided game drives, sundowner cruises and birdwatching excursions. More than 400 bird species have been recorded in the area, making the Chobe one of Southern Africa's premier birding destinations. In addition, day trips to the spectacular Victoria Falls can easily be arranged from the lodge.
