Nambwa Lodge, together with Nambwa Lagoon Camp, is the only lodge in the Bwabwata National Park. Nambwa is situated on the Nambwa Island, north of the famous horseshoe, one of the largest elephant gathering areas in Namibia.
Nambwa Lodge is constructed in the 300.000 hectare Mayuni Conservancy close to a floodplain of the Kwando river and is home to more than 35 large and small game species. Furthermore the area around Nambwa is well known by ornithologists for over 300 bird species. Large herds of elephants and buffalos and families of hippos are regular visitors to the area. The rare roan and sable antelopes can be spotted as well as lions, wild dogs and leopards.
