Lodge and camping in the Caprivi
On the banks of the Chobe River, in the far northeast of Namibia near the Ngoma border post, Chobe River Camp is set within the vast river landscapes of the Zambezi Region. The lodge is located in one of the most species-rich natural areas of southern Africa and offers uninterrupted views across the floodplains of the Chobe. Directly opposite lies Chobe National Park, home to large herds of elephants, buffalo, and numerous antelope species. This privileged location makes the camp an ideal base for safaris in the four-country region where Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, and Zimbabwe meet.

Accommodation at Chobe River Camp
The camp consists of 15 comfortably furnished tented chalets, raised above the ground to provide sweeping views over the river and surrounding floodplains. Each chalet is spacious and equipped with an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning, and a private terrace. Five family rooms offer additional space for guests traveling with children. Facilities are complemented by an open main area featuring a restaurant, bar, lounge, souvenir shop, and swimming pool. Wi-Fi is available at reception. Furthermore the camp offers nice camping ground with 6 campsites with barbeque facilities and shared ablutions.
Activities and tours at Chobe River Camp
Boat cruises on the Chobe River offer visitors the chance to observe hippos, elephants, buffalo, lechwe, zebras, roan antelope, and many other animals. Guided nature walks provide fascinating insights into the region’s diverse flora and fauna, while game drives and birdwatching excursions showcase the remarkable biodiversity of the surrounding area. Trips to Victoria Falls or into Chobe National Park can also be arranged with ease. Additional activities at Chobe River Camp include sundowner cruises, canoe trips, and specialised birdwatching excursions.
