The Kiripotib Guest Farm is located around 160 km southeast of Windhoek and is ideal both as a relaxing start and as an atmospheric end to a journey through Namibia. Kiripotib is not only a surprisingly green oasis with a personal atmosphere, but also a place of creative craftsmanship: under the name African Kirikara Art, handmade carpets are produced on the farm from the wool of Namibian Karakul sheep. A farm gallery showcases not only the owners’ creations, but also selected African art and decorative pieces.

Accommodation at Kiripotib Guest Farm
Kiripotib is run by Claudia and Hans von Hase, who, together with their team, place great emphasis on authentic experiences, sustainability, and regional quality. Many ingredients used in the kitchen come directly from the farm itself: vegetables and herbs from the garden, citrus fruits from the orchard, eggs from free-range chickens, and dairy products from Jersey cows. Game meat from the private reserve is also part of the farm’s cuisine.
Accommodation options include spacious chalets with air conditioning and wide views over the Kalahari, cosy rooms in the historic farmhouse, family-friendly guesthouses, and large rooms in the so-called “Hangar”. Nature lovers can choose between comfortable safari tents with solid thatched roofs or well-maintained campsites with private bathroom facilities, electricity, and covered outdoor kitchens. All accommodation features private terraces, Wi-Fi, and lovingly designed details in natural colours.
Activities and tours at Kiripotib Guest Farm
Visitors can watch the artists and artisans at work in the Karakul weaving workshop – from washing and dyeing the wool to the finished carpet. During sundowner and farm drives, guests frequently encounter zebras, oryx antelopes, springboks, kudus, giraffes, and kori bustards. Guided walks lead through the diverse flora of the Kalahari, including an impressive aloe forest. Thanks to the clear air and remote location, Kiripotib also offers ideal conditions for stargazing beneath the spectacular skies of southern Africa.
