Guestfarm at the Spreetshoogte Pass
Namibgrens Guestfarm is situated on a high plateau at the edge of the Namib Desert, close to the spectacular Spreetshoogte Pass and approximately 60 km from Solitaire. The farm has been owned by the Rabie family since the 1940s and continues to operate as a working cattle farm. At an elevation of around 1,800 m, the climate is pleasantly moderate and significantly cooler than in the lower-lying desert regions. Numerous natural and man-made water points have created a remarkably diverse habitat.

Accommodation at Namibgrens Guestfarm
Guests can choose from a variety of accommodation options. The luxurious, free-standing Klipspringer Villas blend harmoniously into the rocky landscape and, depending on the category, feature two, three or four bedrooms, spacious living areas, fully equipped kitchens and private barbecue facilities. The accommodation offering is complemented by the Mountain Camp, which consists of twelve campsites of varying capacities. Each campsite has its own private open-air ablution facilities, providing an authentic nature experience.
The shared facilities at the farmhouse are located approximately 1 km from the villas and the Mountain Camp. These include a restaurant and bar where meals are available on prior arrangement. The historic farmstead, with its gardens, water features and shaded relaxation areas, provides a welcoming setting for unwinding. Guests can cool off in the swimming pool at the farmhouse or enjoy the natural rock pool within the camping area.
Activities and tours at Namibgrens Guestfarm
The vast landscape of granite formations, mountain ranges, valleys and open plains offers impressive views across the escarpment, where the terrain drops dramatically towards the Namib Desert. The farm is renowned for its rich birdlife and provides excellent opportunities for wildlife and nature observation. An extensive network of marked hiking trails winds through the diverse mountain scenery, ranging from short walks to multi-day hikes with overnight facilities along the routes. Additional activities include farm and nature drives, sundowner excursions, birdwatching and self-drive 4x4 routes.
