Desert Homestead Lodge is located around 30 km southeast of Sesriem, the gateway to the famous Sossusvlei, within the private Namib Tsaris Nature Reserve, which spans more than 140,000 hectares and seamlessly merges into the NamibRand Nature Reserve. This exclusive setting makes the lodge an ideal base for exploring the iconic dune landscapes as well as the Namib-Naukluft National Park with its spectacular natural highlights such as Deadvlei and Sesriem Canyon. The architecture of the lodge offers a modern interpretation of a traditional farm and horse ranch.

Accommodation at Desert Homestead Lodge
At the heart of Desert Homestead Lodge is a spacious main building featuring a restaurant, lounge, and bar, complemented by expansive outdoor areas with pools and shaded terraces. Powered entirely by solar energy, the lodge offers accommodation in 20 stylish thatched chalets, each set apart to ensure a high level of privacy. The units, measuring approximately 25 to 40 square meters, feature private terraces with impressive views of the Rotterkaum Mountains. Amenities include air conditioning, en-suite bathrooms, mosquito nets, a safe, and tea and coffee facilities. A family chalet with two bedrooms is also available.
