Guestfarm, Self-Catering and Camping at Duwisib Castle
Duwisib Guestfarm is situated right next to the Duwisib Castle, a national monument on the edge of the Namib Desert. The guestfarm is owner run offering cosy accommodation and a very personal service. Duwisib Guestfarm is an ideal stop-over for guests travelling to Sossusvlei, Lüderitz or the Fish River Canyon.
Duwisib Guest Farm consists of 8 guest rooms, 1 stand-alone bungalow and 5 campsites. The pool, situated close to the reception area, offers great views of the surrounding mountains and is also a great spot to enjoy a sundowner drink. Guests can enjoy complimentary wi-fi service as well as mobile network at the reception and pool.
Accommodation
Duwisib Guestfarm offers eight guest rooms with dinner, bed and breakfast). All facilities are within walking distance of Duwisib Castle. The guest rooms are located inside a historic workshop built from natural sandstone, blending beautifully into the surrounding landscape.
The self-catering rooms can be booked as single, double, triple or 4-bedded rooms. The self-catering facilities include outside BBQ facilities, small kitchen with crockery, cutlery, gas cooker and bar fridge, bedding and towels for all rooms. Another separate Self-Catering bungalow is available. The Springbok bungalow is equipped with it’s own self-catering facilities and can sleep up to 2 guests in twin bed rooms.
Duwisib Guestfarm offers 5 shaded campsites. Each site has running water and a shady seating area.

The main attraction in the area is the Duwisib castle which was built for Hans Heinrich von Wolf in 1907. It is run by NWR (Namibia Wildlife Resorts) and is easily accessibly from Duwisib Guestfarm.
A guided farm drive is offered and unguided walking trails can be done as well.
Duwisib Guestfarm is situated in the central part of Southern Namibia. Many points of interest can be reached from Duwisib on a day tour, such as Sossusvlei and the Sesriem canyon, the Naukluft mountains, the NamribRand Nature Reserve and a bit further away, the Fish River Canyon and the town of Lüderitz.
