Weltevrede Guestfarm is situated along the C19 between Solitaire and Sesriem, nestled between the Naukluft Mountains and the Namib Desert. Located close to the iconic attractions of Sossusvlei and Sesriem Canyon, the farm borders the Namib-Naukluft National Park on three sides. Its diverse landscape of rugged mountains, vast gravel plains, ancient dry riverbeds, towering camelthorn trees and the distinctive dunes of the Namib makes the guest farm an ideal base for exploring this remarkable region.

Accommodation at Weltevrede Guestfarm
Since the 1990s, the owners have been actively committed to conserving the region's indigenous wildlife. Several artificial waterholes provide essential water sources for animals during the dry season. The farm also supports conservation authorities by maintaining boreholes and participates in a number of wildlife conservation initiatives, including projects aimed at protecting Namibia's vulture populations. In addition, Weltevrede invests in the training and professional development of its long-serving staff and supports community projects in the surrounding area.
The guestfarm offers 13 detached, air-conditioned rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom and views of the surrounding dune landscape. Accommodation includes double, family and triple rooms. Guests seeking self-catering facilities can stay in a spacious two-bedroom unit with en-suite bathrooms, a shared kitchen and a private barbecue area. For campers, four well-maintained campsites are available, each featuring private ablution facilities with a shower, washbasin and toilet.
The central guest area provides a welcoming place to unwind after a day of exploring. Guests can relax while taking in the tranquil desert scenery, admire spectacular sunsets or experience the exceptionally clear night skies for which the Namib is renowned. The farm's peaceful setting and the warm hospitality of the hosts create a relaxed and personal atmosphere.
Activities and tours at Weltevrede Guestfarm
Guests can enjoy a variety of walks directly from the farm, including hikes through dry riverbeds, visits to historic San rock art sites and excursions to nearby dunes or scenic viewpoints for sunset. Stargazing is another highlight thanks to the area's pristine dark skies. The farm also arranges excursions with trusted local operators, including hot-air balloon flights, scenic flights over the Namib Desert, guided trips to Sossusvlei and Sesriem Canyon, quad biking adventures and hiking excursions in the Naukluft Mountains.
