The &Beyond Sossusvlei Desert Lodge is located in the heart of the Namib, one of the world's oldest deserts, within a private reserve of approximately 12,700 hectares bordering the NamibRand Nature Reserve and the Namib-Naukluft National Park. The lodge lies in the remarkable landscape of the UNESCO-listed Namib Sand Sea, an area characterized by towering sand dunes, rugged rocky hills, and vast gravel plains. Accommodation at Sossusvlei Desert Lodge
The lodge offers ten freestanding luxury suites, each measuring approximately 130 m². Floor-to-ceiling glass walls provide uninterrupted views across the desert, while every suite features a shaded terrace with a private plunge pool, a spacious lounge with a fireplace, and an elegant bathroom with a glass-enclosed rain shower overlooking the surrounding landscape. A unique feature is the skylight above the bed, allowing guests to admire the spectacular Namib night sky from the comfort of their suite. For families or friends travelling together, the exclusive Star Dune Suite combines two separate suites with a shared lounge and dining area, offering approximately 270 m² of living space for up to four guests.
The lodge's contemporary main area is defined by expansive glass façades that seamlessly blend the indoor and outdoor spaces. Guests can enjoy a stylish lounge and restaurant, a sophisticated bar, a walk-in wine cellar, an infinity pool overlooking the desert, a fully equipped fitness centre, and a wellness spa with treatment rooms. A small boutique showcasing carefully selected Namibian arts and crafts completes the facilities.

A range of guided activities introduces guests to the extraordinary desert environment. Guided nature drives through the private reserve, scenic walking excursions, and e-bike tours reveal the surprisingly diverse wildlife and plant life of the Namib. Excursions to the iconic dunes of Sossusvlei and Deadvlei, as well as visits to ancient rock engravings, are among the highlights. The lodge is also celebrated for its exceptional stargazing opportunities. Situated in an area with virtually no light pollution, it features a private observatory equipped with a powerful telescope, offering unforgettable views of the southern night sky. Additional activities available at an extra cost include scenic flights, hot-air balloon safaris, and helicopter excursions, providing breathtaking aerial perspectives of the vast Namib Desert.
