Lodge north of Etosha
King Nehale Lodge is situated on the vast Andoni Plains in northern Namibia, just 1 km from the gate of the same name at Etosha National Park. This provides particularly convenient access to the less frequented northern side of the famous wildlife reserve. The lodge was developed in close cooperation with the King Nehale Conservancy and is regarded as an example of sustainable tourism in Namibia. Revenue generated by the lodge supports local communities and traditional institutions in the region.

Accommodation at King Nehale Lodge
The Gondwana Collection lodge was designed as a tribute to the traditions and heritage of the Oshiwambo culture. Intricate carvings and decorative elements created by local artisans give the property a unique atmosphere. The design is inspired by the shape of a Nguni cattle head, with its “horns” extending north and south from a central main area. The lodge features 40 spacious chalets that blend harmoniously into the surrounding landscape. Each chalet offers an en-suite bathroom, a private veranda with a mini pool, air conditioning, a refrigerator, and tea and coffee-making facilities. Additional amenities include a restaurant, bar, boma, souvenir shop, WiFi, and a swimming pool area.
Activities and tours at King Nehale Lodge
A particular highlight is the exclusive access to the private Ontalelo Outpost waterhole within Etosha National Park. This secluded viewing area is reserved exclusively for lodge guests and allows for exceptional wildlife experiences away from the usual visitor crowds. From an elevated and carefully integrated platform, guests can observe elephants, antelope, and numerous other wild animals in their natural environment. In addition to guided excursions to the waterhole and classic game drives in open safari vehicles, visitors can also explore the national park independently with their own vehicle.
