Mushara Lodge is part of the Mushara Collection and is located just 8 km east of the Von Lindequist Gate of Etosha National Park. The lodge belongs to the renowned Mushara Collection and is considered its original property – stylish, intimate, and defined by a harmonious blend of classic safari charm and modern comfort. The lodge takes its name from the indigenous Mushara, or Terminalia tree, known for its distinctive purple seed pods.

Accommodation at Mushara Lodge
The architecture is inspired by traditional African design: thatched buildings, airy communal areas, and spacious pathways create a relaxed atmosphere. At the heart of the lodge is a large swimming pool surrounded by beautifully maintained gardens, with the accommodation units thoughtfully spaced apart to ensure privacy. The interior décor combines African art pieces with contemporary design and original paintings. The atmosphere is further enhanced by an elegant lounge with a fireplace, a small library, a well-stocked wine cellar, a bar, and a curio shop.
Guests can choose from ten spacious chalets, one family house, one triple room, and two single rooms. All accommodations are air-conditioned and equipped with mosquito nets, a minibar, tea and coffee stations, and generous en-suite bathrooms. Families especially benefit from the separate family house featuring multiple bedrooms and private bathrooms. The expansive layout of the lodge also ensures peace and tranquility.
Activities and tours at Mushara Lodge
Its location directly at the eastern entrance to Etosha National Park makes the lodge an ideal base for wildlife viewing. Guided game drives are offered in specially equipped safari vehicles with elevated seating and panoramic views. Thanks to the proximity to the park’s waterholes, guests have excellent opportunities to spot elephants, giraffes, lions, antelope, and rhinos. The peaceful walking paths around the lodge also invite guests to enjoy nature walks, particularly appealing for bird enthusiasts.
