Tented Lodge 10 km east of the Etosha
Mushara Outpost is located just 10 km from the Von Lindequist Gate of the famous Etosha National Park and forms part of the exclusive Mushara Collection in north-eastern Namibia. The lodge is nestled within peaceful bushland on the banks of an ancient dry riverbed known in the Herero language as an “Omuramba”. Combining traditional Namibian farmhouse style with contemporary elements, the lodge creates a sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere.

Accommodation at Mushara Outpost
This small and personally managed property accommodates up to 16 guests in eight luxurious tented suites constructed from wood, glass and canvas. Built on raised wooden decks, the suites offer uninterrupted views across the surrounding bush while ensuring a high level of privacy. Large glass fronts provide natural ventilation and plenty of light, while air conditioning, mosquito nets, a minibar, tea and coffee facilities, a safe, and modern bathrooms with separate toilets offer the comfort expected from an upscale safari lodge. Particularly impressive is the open-plan shower, whose canvas sections can partly be opened to create a unique connection with nature during the shower experience.
The lodge’s sustainable philosophy, focusing on exclusivity rather than mass tourism, is also reflected in the cuisine: some of the herbs, vegetables and fruits used in the kitchen are sourced directly from the Mushara garden and transformed into fresh, regionally inspired dishes. After safari activities, the spacious pool area overlooking the bush invites guests to relax, while the open lounges and verandas create a magical atmosphere beneath Namibia’s star-filled skies, especially in the evenings.

Etosha National Park is home to numerous antelope species, elephants, lions, rhinos and an impressive variety of birdlife. The experienced guides at Mushara Outpost accompany guests on guided game drives, sharing extensive knowledge about the delicate ecosystems of the Etosha Pan as well as the flora and fauna of the region. Individual self-drive safaris can also easily be arranged from the lodge. In addition to classic game drives, the lodge offers excellent opportunities for birdwatching and immersive nature experiences in a tranquil setting.
