Located directly at the eastern Von Lindequist Gate of the famous Etosha National Park, the stylish Mokuti Etosha Lodge is set within a private nature reserve covering around 4,000 hectares. The lodge is one of the closest accommodations to the park entrance and is surrounded by dense mopane woodland and extensive, beautifully maintained gardens. The name “Mokuti” comes from the Ovambo language and means “in the forest,” perfectly reflecting the lush, almost tropical atmosphere of the property.

The lodge features more than 100 luxurious rooms in freestanding chalets with traditional thatched roofs. All accommodations are air-conditioned and equipped with en-suite bathrooms, Wi-Fi, television, safe, tea and coffee facilities, and a minibar. Large windows offer views of the gardens or the surrounding bushveld.
The lodge offers several dining venues, ranging from an elegant restaurant to an open-air boma under the African sky. Namibian specialties, game dishes, and international cuisine are prepared using regional ingredients. Additional facilities include bars, pool terraces, and spacious lounge areas. Three swimming pools, a spa, fitness centre, and tennis courts provide relaxation between safari activities. The lodge is also a popular venue for conferences and events.
Activities and tours at Mokuti Etosha Lodge
Guided game drives from Mokuti are available in the morning, afternoon, or as full-day excursions. Sightings of elephants, rhinos, lions, giraffes, and large herds of antelope at the park’s waterholes are especially popular. The lodge also organises nature walks, birdwatching excursions, and cultural bush walks with members of the Hai//om community, who share traditional knowledge about tracking wildlife and the use of medicinal plants.
