Tented camp east of the Etosha National Park
Located just 10 km east of the Von Lindequist Gate at Etosha National Park, the family-friendly Mushara Bush Camp forms part of the renowned Mushara Collection. It is particularly well suited to independent travelers and families wishing to explore the eastern section of Etosha National Park. Its location allows for early morning game drives and short travel distances to the region’s famous waterholes and wildlife viewing areas.

Accommodation at Mushara Bush Camp
The camp was designed as a relaxed and nature-oriented alternative within the Mushara Collection and offers a total of 16 custom-made tented units accommodating up to 32 adults and eight children. The spacious tents are constructed from canvas, wood, and locally sourced limestone, allowing them to blend harmoniously into the surrounding landscape while remaining pleasantly cool during hot days. Floor-to-ceiling windows and private verandas create a close connection to nature, while modern comforts include en-suite bathrooms, mosquito nets, fans, tea and coffee facilities, and safes. Four of the tents also feature sleeper couches and are specifically designed for families travelling with children.
The heart of the camp is the thatched main building with its open veranda, where breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served. Evenings around the campfire are particularly atmospheric, as guests exchange wildlife experiences while listening to the sounds of the African bush. Additional facilities include a swimming pool, a children’s splash area, and a playground with climbing structures, a sandpit, and various activities for younger guests. Childcare services and special children’s menus also form part of the camp’s family-friendly concept.
Activities and tours at Mushara Bush Camp
Experienced guides accompany guests in specially equipped safari vehicles to the renowned wildlife areas of Etosha National Park, where elephants, lions, giraffes, antelope species, and numerous bird species can be observed. In addition, bird-watching and nature experiences are available within the private Mushara Reserve.
